Publisher's Description:Browser Sentry Content Filter - Browser Sentry is a content filtering software application designed to prevent the viewing of sites which are unsuitable for children and incompatible with daily workplace internet use.Browser Sentry will help to prevent the users of your computer from accessing pornographic and gambling sites on the internet. It works by monitoring the titles of the windows as they open, looking for prohibited words. It does not rely on constantly changing blacklists which need continual updating. While it may not catch every page, the great majority will be prevented. When a word or phrase is detected, Browser Sentry will close all internet pages and set a notice "flag" to alert you to the fact that the filter was triggered. This flag will appear the next time the computer is restarted and will require a password to re-set. In most cases this means a deliberate attempt was made to access a prohibited site. This flagging mechanism is very useful should you wish confront an employee or have a word with a child about their internet activities. The Demo version available below has an unlimited evaluation period, but requires your browser's home page to be set to the Browser Sentry Safe Start Page. (Click here to see the page). Terms Applicable to Registered SOFTWARE A single license grants you the following rights: You may make any number of copies of the REGISTERED SOFTWARE and install the REGISTERED SOFTWARE on any number of computers (workstations), provided that you do not let third parties run, copy or otherwise use the REGISTERED SOFTWARE. (You may copy the REGISTERED SOFTWARE for BACKUP purposes only). You may transfer all the rights granted by this LA to a third party either on a temporary or permanent basis, provided that you charge no fee. (You may not resell or lease the rights granted by this LA). You may run the REGISTERED SOFTWARE on a single computer (workstation) at a time. Description of other Limitations You are specifically prohibited from redistributing copies of the REGISTERED SOFTWARE or any portion of it (except as provided by the LA) or any other information accompanying your REGISTERED SOFTWARE license, such as a software activation code, if any, to third parties for any purpose. Intentional violation of this term will imply immediate and automatic termination of your LA. In case such redistribution took place without your direct participation (e.g. the SOFTWARE was stolen), you should immediately notify AUTHORS about the incident. You are specifically prohibited from running the REGISTERED SOFTWARE in a distributed computing environment, such as local area network, where users of various workstations connected to the network could access interactively the REGISTERED SOFTWARE, even when running on a dedicated server node (application sharing). If you need that various employees of your organization be able to use the REGISTERED SOFTWARE simultaneously, you should purchase as many licenses as needed.
